V Festival 2010

This week i went to Virgin media's V festival in Chelmsford. I went for the day on sunday, i didn't want to camp because i live very close and saw no point to. I thought the Festival was great in my opinion the best bands were Jamie T, Seasick Steve, Example, The Kooks and Madness just to name a few. Being in the crowd brought on immense atmosphere. I experienced a massive bottle fight which lasted almost and entire half an hour before watching jamie t. You would see naive girls climb onto their boyfriends backs and then get annihilated by plastic barcadi bottles. Another great experience was watching the prodigy headline the 4 music stage. The put on an amazing but almost scary show where the hurled bottles of water and beckoned for bigger mosh pits at the crowd. Very close to me somebody lit a flare which turned the crowd electric in a surreal performance. There were some truly wierd people there also dressed as bananas, super heros and even morphsuits. I've never felt the erge to wear a full face nylon suit, have you? But to sum up it was an awesome day and a great experience for my first festival.
